Holy, wonderful, marvelous, glorious, omnipotent, righteous, and mighty….
Sunday morning, while the choir was singing “Total Praise,” I started thinking of all the unanswered prayers I’d been praying for the last 5 or 10 years. Suddenly I became restless and angry. I told God, “I want to see you. I want to see your power. I want to see the earth-shaking God that David knew and feared.”
I didn’t know what to expect in response, but last night was a rude awakening to a God who can do anything. While I waited for my cell phone to die so I could recharge it, the battery went from 6% to 16% – unplugged! I didn’t pray to live longer like Hezekiah, but his miraculous 10 degrees had become my miraculous 10 percent (2 Kings 20:10-11, Isaiah 38:8). Is this experience a sign of even greater things?
